  • Ashley Bird

    Ashley Bird is a Tasmanian based interdisciplinary visual artist. The focus of his work and research explores ideas of memory and nostalgia that emotionally connect people to objects, that within them hold past moments and carefree interactions with family and place. The collection and archive of these objects therefore standing in for the past memory, motivating an obsessive desire to inshrine and valorise past relics (especially toys) to keep memories from being lost.

  • Adrian Doyle

    Doyle has exhibited extensively around Australia, has painted many collaborative murals around Melbourne and runs many art related projects from his home base the ‘Blender Studios’ off Franklin Street in Melbourne, and set up the Napier Crew a Street art production house focused on youth.Doyle also has work in many major collections including the National Gallery of Australia and has curated exhibitions at some of Australia’s largest art institutions.

  • Rushdi Anwar

    Rushdi Anwar is a Melbourne-based artist originally from Kurdistan. His installation, sculpture, painting, photo-painting, and video work often reflect on the socio-political issues of Kurdistan, Iraq and The Middle East. Which exploring these issues through an investigation of form, material vocabulary and processes of making. His works reference the social and political unrest that extend to generate discourse about the status of social equity. His work also have a broader message and talk to us of care, attention and even redemption through art.

  • Annette Chang

    Born in Taipei, Taiwan in 1955, moved to Melbourne in 1991. Work and live in Melbourne.

    Chang uses recycled materials, household items and found objects to make painting, collage, installation and sculpture works.

    Her aim is reflecting upon consuming culture and contemporary life style in a sarcastic way through her art.

  • Benjamin Aitken

    Benjamin is an artist working in Melbourne across painting, tapestry and installation. Aside from his artistic practice, Ben is also the founder and co-director of Nicholas Projects, a well- known Melbourne artist run project space. Ben has amassed a collection of over 40 artworks from working artists and created the Nicholas Foundation. This initiative has seen this works acquired by donation to such institutions as Lismore Regional Gallery, the Monash Gallery of Art and Castlemaine Art Musuem. Ben has also been featured on many public speaking panels about politics and art including the Art Gallery of NSW.

  • Sarah Randall

    Sarah has a comprehensive visual arts background: Bachelor of Creative Arts, Wollongong in 2013, MFA, RMIT in 2015 and Grad Cert of Arts (Art History), Univ of Melbourne in 2016. She has exhibited in NSW and Melbourne since 2008, in 2013 she received $1000 William Fletcher Foundation Grant and in 2015, the RMIT Community Award. Sarah undertook recent art residencies in Launceston and Thailand, where she completed two International residencies and workshops. Currently Sarah is the Gallery Manager of the Yarra Sculptor Gallery, Abbotsford and Manager at Dark Horse Experiment, Melbourne.

  • Nakarin Jaikla

    Nakarin graduated with second-class honours and received the Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art with major of Thai Art from Chiang Mai University in Thailand. He regularly performs his work in festivals around Melbourne, interstates, and overseas events. Nakarin is currently a director of SILP Productions Inc. and a dance teacher and ballet coach for gymnastics athletes.

    Hugo Mathias is a visual artist from New Zealand and currently based in Melbourne, Australia. He works in oils, acrylics, inks and digitally. Hugo is interested in national myths and how these are used to form collective memories. He explores human history and symbolism to express these ideas in his work.

    Hugo has exhibited his work in New Zealand, Australia, Japan and Thailand, with two of his pieces residing in the James Wallace Arts Trust collection in New Zealand. He received a Bachelor of Design in 2011 from Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand. Hugo works out of the Blender Studiosin Melbourne and is a member of the New Zealand art collective Young, Gifted & Broke.

  • Shazia Imran

    With over 25 years experience in creative arts Australian artist and sculptor Shazia Imran is best known for her expressive mixed media pieces.

    She has won many national and international awards including Lorenzo il Magnifico Award at the Florence Biennale 2015 and Mixed media Award at the 2017 London Biennale.

    Shazia graduated with Distinction from National College of Arts (NCA) Lahore in 1994. She lived and worked in Dubai from 1998-2001. She moved with her family to Australia in 2001. She worked in Digital and marketing and practiced her art as well.

  • Monique Lacey

    Monique Lacey is an Auckland based artist who graduated from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design with a MFA (First Class Hons) in 2018.

    Monique has previous exhibited at the Malcolm Smith Gallery, RM Gallery, The Vivian, Demo, and West End Art Space in Melbourne. Monique is a finalist in the 2018 National Contemporary Art Award.

  • Cori Beardsley

    Cori hales from Eastern Shore of Maryland. After receiving her MFA in sculpture from the New York Academy of Art in 2011, she went to China on an AIR with Central Academy of fine Art in Bejing and Shanghai University.

  • Bakhtyar Kaftan

    (b. Sulaimani, Kurdistan) is an artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Bakhtyar holds a Bachelor of Visual Art from the University of Baghdad, and recently completed a Master of Fine Art at RMIT University. He has held lecturing positions at the University of Sulaimani, Kurdistan; the Fulya Art School, Chorum, Turkey; Open Art (Atolyasi), Chorum, Turkey and was a founding member of the Faculty of Visual Arts and Head of Visual Arts at the University of Sulaimani, Kurdistan. Bakhtyar was also a founding member of the first Visual Art Group in Kurdistan, Group Eight. He has held solo exhibitions at the United Kurdish Association of NSW (2010) and throughout Kurdistan, Turkey and Iraq. Bakhtyar has exhibited in group exhibitions in Australia, Thailand, Holland, Kurdistan, Canada and the United Kingdom.

  • Pimpisa Tinpalit

    Native of Thailand, sculptor Pimpisa Tinpalit holds a Master's Degree in Fine Art with an particular focus on sculpture. Pimpisa has extensive experience in teaching art within multiple Thai Universities. Throughout her 17 years as a professional artist, she has showcased her work in solo and group exhibitions in Thailand, Japan, Singapore, USA, Korea, Hong Kong and Australia.
