KNOW THE FURROWS

A deeper knowledge of place involves an understanding of how it moves, interacts, and interweaves - When the moon pulls its river systems at perigee and perihelion, how the sun coats dappled light on the mountains and where the rain soaks rainforest roots. Know the furrows is a focus on the moving parts. If you squint your eyes for long enough, can you see the hidden details?

Alice is a landscape artist from Tasmania. Her painting medium involves a blend of oil and spray paint on large scale canvas. Alice brings to her work the passion of an emerging artist who has taken a modern approach. Her love for Tasmania’s natural beauty and dramatic landscapes feature heavily in the style of her art. She paints using bold brush strokes, creating mood, drama and vibrancy.
