It refers to loneliness.

The man pursues meaning to their existence, upon they satisfy their primary needs. It is with self-realisation that the need for inner absence approaches, thus it is through loneliness that one can begin to understand themselves , and indeed, the human condition.

This art series encapsulates the episodic existence of human kind, with every step and experience breathing purpose into their life. The human kind is set free to find their own personal objet, whilst simultaneously seeking insight into their complexity.

Within each frame, the artwork depicts man, released from his mortal reality, they undergoes a self exploration while seeking to understand the object.

The Interview

Interview with artist
BAHAR TAGHIANI

Exhibition 18-29 May 2022

1. How do you explore the themes of loneliness and the human condition in your paintings?

I think loneliness is the best way to know oneself, because human alone has enough opportunity to know its own existence. Thus, we can see with the characters that I have created in my paintings that one gets to know itself better in its personal space by including the desired object.

2. How did you come to incorporate woodwork/furniture painting in your practice?

I like to bring my paintings to every day means of life.
