Boonyarith, a Thai-born artist studying and practising in Melbourne/Naarm. His technique is skilful, with tangible textures and vivid colours. Through his previous practical study about subconsciousness, Boonyarith embraces the thought of Freudian to reinterpret and represent abnormal images or objects in which dreams can reveal hidden truths, provide insight into reality and provoke unconsciousness.

Unravelling the Unknown

Boonyarith creates a surreal image on canvas to depict the subconscious through vibrant oil colours. Drawing from Freudian symbolism, each painting captures the dual nature of dreams as both tools for revelation and veils over more profound truths. He invites viewers to explore the mysterious relationship between visibility and obscurity, bridging the gap between the known and unknown to achieve a depth and intensity that mirrors the complexity of his themes.
