COLOURS OF HOPE
My latest series of acrylic paintings reflects my personal journey of growth and self-discovery, inspired by the natural beauty of the Australian bush. Each painting is an exploration of the interplay between light and dark, color and texture, and the delicate balance between nature and humanity.
Through expressive brushwork, abstraction, and gestural marks, I explore and practice the emotional and psychological aspects of self-development. My creative process is an act of pushing through my own limitations and boundaries. Practicing courage and vulnerability, embracing imperfections and change, to expand my self-awareness, self-efficacy, and creativity in new and exciting ways.
Using multiple layers and techniques such as scraping, dripping, adding, and subtracting paint, I build textured surfaces that reflect the complexity and beauty of the landscapes that inspired them.
Meditation and mindfulness inspire me to remain present in the moment and find flow, creating art that inspires others to find their own sense of balance and gratitude while encouraging them to embrace their creativity and imperfections.
My goal as an artist is to capture the essence of the natural world and expand the human experience, creating meaningful and thought-provoking artwork that serves as a mirror to our inner selves.
