Chloe Tizzard is a visual artist practicing in Naarm. Their practice utilises soft sculpture techniques to create subversions to binaries around gender, form and eroticism. By employing highly sexualised and textual fabrics, their practice aims to circumvent the logic of its viewer by appealing to more primal sensibilities like sensuality and eroticism. Beginning with feminist reproaches against patriarchal and colonial tropes, their work has evolved into more androgynous territory. Tizzard’s practice currently investigates the bridge between dichotomies of abject and sexuality, human and organism, abomination and beauty.
