Nerrida Parfitt is an emerging artist based in the regional town of Ballarat within the Central Highlands of Victoria. Painting from her home studio, she is inspired by the Australian landscape and local surroundings. Blending observed references of the landscape with constructed elements, Nerrida's artworks exhibit an aesthetic of Australian gothic with a hint of surrealism.

Exploring the interplay of light and shadow, a sense of beauty and mood is often present. Themes of isolation, the uncanny, and impermanence resonate strongly within her work. With tertiary education in visual art, graphic design, and multimedia, Nerrida brings a diverse skill set and unique perspectives to her artistic practice.
