SPACE 4 : RAPHY

Raphy is an emerging ceramic artist working on Wurundjeri country in Fitzroy North. Drawing from a background composing psychedelic music, Raphy creates surreal sculptural art that conceptualises ideas around identity, sexuality and culture. Vibrant colours and glossy finishes are paired with obscure and interesting forms to create unique vessels that tell stories or convey ideas.

The Patchwork Collection was designed with the BlackCat Gallery in mind. The window room served as the perfect inspiration for an eye-catching display. A patchwork pattern of glaze is juxtaposed with liberal splashes of colour to stop pedestrians in their tracks. The collection’s key piece Patchwork Vase aims to hypnotise Brunswick Street as they gaze into it’s flower-like disks.
