Timothy White is an Australian ceramicist; maker of beautiful, unique, wheel-thrown, and handcrafted porcelain pieces.

Having studied a Diploma of Art and Design (Ceramics) as well as a Graduate Diploma of Education (Art and Craft), over the years Tim has worked to develop his own style through throwing on the wheel, mixing his own glazes and also firing of kilns. 

He began working in stoneware and now specialises in porcelain, finding that porcelain is less forgiving than other clays but that the rewards are considerable. 

He is now working with lustres and finding this intriguing; the finished result is always unpredictable and the effect ensures that each piece is truly unique. The opening of the kiln following a lustre firing is always an event in itself.
