VERVE

A great energy, vigour, and creative vitality. This collection explores the unseen current that moves through us and shapes the ways we feel, move and connect. Through photography, these works investigate the relationship between emotion, instinct, and presence. They reflect moments of intensity and stillness alike, exploring the space between movement and expression, body and spirit, light and shadow. Texture, gesture, light and form become vehicles for expressing experiences that exist beyond language.

Rather than documenting a singular narrative, VERVE invites an emotional response. Each image acts as a trace of an internal landscape, revealing the subtle energies that flow beneath the surface of everyday experience.

At its core, Verve is a celebration of internal force, vitality, and connection - the pulse of life that runs through us, between us, and beyond us.

Vivienne Maher is a Melbourne-based artist, photographer, and creative director whose work explores emotion, connection, identity, and the relationship between people and their inner world. Working across photography and mixed media, her practice is driven by a fascination with what lies beneath the surface; those inner moments, expressions, and energies that often go unseen. Drawing on a background in portraiture, commercial photography, and fine art, she creates work that sits between observation and intuition, balancing documentary elements with emotional and conceptual exploration. Alongside her artistic practice, Vivienne exhibits, collaborates with other creatives, and continues to develop bodies of work that examine beauty, humanity, and the invisible threads that connect us.
