Steffi is an artist residing and making on Wurundjeri Country in Melbourne’s west.
Steffi’s practice centres around clay and embodies the natural world and free flowing movement, taking cues from her time immersed in nature as an ecological conservationist and gardener.
This body of work toes the line between sculptural expressions of organic form in the Australian landscape, and figurative pieces giving form to human movement – celebrating the ties between us and our ecosystems. Each piece is built by hand with minimal intervention from tools, eschewing perfection in favour of emulating natural processes and telling a story of the connection between maker and piece.
